Dear Fellow Golfers,

It is my pleasure to welcome you back to Castletown Golf Club for 2010 and also to extend a warm welcome to Andy Patterson, our new Club Professional.
Having seen my handicap gravitate upwards during the last two years, I am hoping that the experience of Captaincy will lead to a change of fortune in 2010. Either way, I hope that I will have an opportunity to enjoy a round of golf with as many of you as possible over the coming months.
You will see from this year’s fixture list that we have once again been very well supported by our competition sponsors and we thank them for their continued support. This year’s winter league will take the form of an individual eclectic and during the summer we will be running a couple of team competitions on selected Saturdays. Competition presentations will take place on the last Saturday of the month during the main golfing season. Please continue to support our Club competitions and month end presentations.
The smooth running of the Club is very much down to the hard work of our Committee and I am delighted to have retained the services of last year’s team. Our main aim is to look after the well being of all our members and to ensure that you continue to enjoy your membership of Castletown. If you have any comments or queries, please feel free to contact any Committee member at any time.
We are blessed with a wonderful course at Castletown, one that is in excellent condition and always presents a true but fair test of golf. In closing I wish everyone a prosperous and enjoyable 2010. Here’s to a great year of golf at Castletown.
